Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All of the Farfel's Rescue volunteers hi-fived each other when we got the news that Karrie the adorable Jack RussellX puppy was safe! We had all been on edge all day waiting for the word that this adorable puppy was out of the shelter and truly rescued. The part that was so sad is that Karrie, at only 11 weeks old, was about to be euthanized simply because the high-kill shelter had run out of cages. Karrie is a wonderful puppy and at barely 3 months old and 5 lbs (Karrie is expected to weigh about 15 lbs when full-grown) she deserves a great forever home that will give her an awesome start in life. At this point, Karrie loves other dogs and every human she's ever encountered. We would love Karrie's great temperament to be nurtured with loving yet clear guidelines through puppy socialization classes and Group Obedience I. She responds so well to boundaries that are clear and lovingly communicated. Karrie is a healthy and active young pup who would be head over heels with joy to experience the beauty of Colorado and spend fun, outdoor time with her favorite people and canines. Karrie is a blank slate at this point.... just waiting to be taught appropriate behavior to be the greatest adult dog ever! She has the capability to truly shine if given huge amounts of love and recognition for great behavior. We are searching for a family that is motivated to spend the time necessary to train this young pup with the great temperament....they will be rewarded a thousand times over with loyalty and devotion. We think Karrie would be very happy with either an active retired couple (or individual) or a family that enjoys spending lots of quality time with their pup. She's been great in the car and would be very excited to learn the socialization skills that will enable her to accompany her family virtually everywhere they go. Karrie appears to be a non-shedding puppy who will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her coat shiny and healthy. Karrie is not suggested for those with extremely severe allergy concerns.
Karrie will be arriving on transport in Denver on 5/2. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional and very sweet family companion.
