My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We think Annie's foster mom described this exceptional 2.5 - 3 year old gorgeous purebred Poodle to perfection -- Annie is so, so, so, SWEET! Not a mean bone in her body. She was insecure and quite fearful when I first met her which is completely understandable...she was a breeder release used only for her amazing beauty...her emotional well-being was never considered. Annie wasn't able to reproduce as was hoped and therefore served no further use...euthanasia was the obvious answer to opportunistic breeders. It was Annie's great fortune that a Farfel's rescuer heard of her and saved her life. Annie was completely vetted, fostered and finally sent on her way to a new life here in Colorado.
I am so proud of the progress she has made in the months that she has lived in my house in Denver and brightened my life.
Annie is a 3 yr. old, approximately 12 lb miniature poodle. Living in a cage for a couple of years solely to reproduce (never seeing the sun, smelling the outdoors or experiencing human kindness), created lots of insecurity and fear in a sensitive and naturally very loving girl. Annie's personality and great behavior emerged as she felt more comfortable in my home.... she now snuggles like a lovebug, walks on a leash nicely, rides in the car, goes to the dog park, and walks into PetSmart with great self-esteem! Annie is true to her breed...so very smart without any aggression.
The areas that Annie still needs to work on with her forever family: She is very much a one-person dog and is still a bit hesitant around other folks (but getting so much better with time and consistency). Annie is still fearful of children due to their sudden movements and loud voices. She would be inclined to feel more comfortable in her crate or in another room until the children leave the home.
My attached pictures don't do Annie justice at all...she is far more gorgeous (both inside and out) than the camera picks up.
Annie needs and deserves a loving home - someone with patience and energy (perhaps group training class or meet-ups for Annie to interact with other small dogs) would be a gift to this girl who has all the potential in the world. She would love being someone's sweet lap dog!
Annie is a non-shedding pup (said to be the most hypoallergenic of breeds) with a gorgeous, cotton-like coat. She will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her coat healthy and matt-free.

Annie is currently being fostered in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted and Meet and Greets being set up for this sweet and exceptional adult companion.

Let me tell you about Annie . . . I am so proud of the progress she has made in the last six months.
Annie is a 3 yr. old miniature poodle. She is a breeder release, so she came to me with a lot of insecurity and fear. She now snuggles, walks on a leash nicely, rides in the car, goes to the dog park, and walks into PetSmart! She is not an aggressive dog, but is very smart.
The areas that still need work: she is very much a one-person dog and is hesitant around other folks; she is fearful of children and their sudden moves.
I have had Annie completely vetted - dental, shots, microchip. She had already been spayed.
My attached pictures don't do her justice.
She needs and deserves a loving home - someone with the patience and energy to help Annie become the dog she was meant to be.
