Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Axel and his 3 siblings...she could see that all their temperaments were so sweet and calm that she couldn't allow any of them to be euthanized. Axel is such a sweet and endearing spirit who cuddles against you for love and security - such a special boy. Axel was immediately brought to be vetted and was brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin his education. Axel is just 7 weeks old and weighs about 3 lbs (Iexpected to be approximately 10 lbs when full-grown.) He is calm and so very sweet that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for his foster mom. Axel is cute as a button and so silly. His foster has said they haven't turned on the TV since Axel came to their house...he's so entertaining. He is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around him. If he continues this regiment of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Axel will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion. He is a gorgeous Doxie mix puppy with the cutest antics ever (although we can't see anything but Doxie, we assume there's a bit of something else like Yorkie in there) with a shining coat that speaks of good health. Axel's calm yet silly demeanor is just who he is...he just appears to be more entertaining than your average puppy. If he is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Axel will become a well-adjusted guy who respects his people as his leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly puppy. We also feel it's very important that he is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. He would be overjoyed one day with walking along Colorado paths and enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Axel can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere.
Axel will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to his very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter, microchip and any additional puppy shots he might require. We can't determine at this point if Axel is a shedder. Lots of sudsy baths and serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy and silky-soft.
Axel will be arriving on transport in Denver on 5/23. Applications are currently being accepted for this adorable and lovable puppy.
