Hello there! I’m Hemi, and I came to Tigerlily after being found outside in this past brutal cold winter. Boy, I was in rough shape – I had burns on my body from car engines where I had gone to stay warm, was extremely underweight, and had a terrible cold. I’ve come a long way! I did have a lingering ulceration on my tongue, which ended up having to be biopsied (yuck!), but thankfully it was nothing major and just something to be watched in the future in case I need pain meds or steroids to keep it managed. I have quite the distinctive ‘meow’ – when you hear it, you’ll understand! I absolutely love people, and enjoy getting a lot of attention. I even “make muffins” and sometimes suckle and drool when I’m really content! I absolutely hate other animals though, and need to be adopted as the only cat. Hey, I’ve been through a lot! I am a Tigerlily favorite, but I am really hoping to find that forever home to call my own!
