My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thomas is one of those guys that got caught in an overcrowded and dreary shelter. It's so difficult for any particular dog to stand out and get the acknowledgement for a great temperament - and therefore get spared from euthanasia. As you might imagine...Thomas must have been SO very special. He was recognized for the exceptional dog he is and efforts were put forth to insure his safety and ultimate adoption...he would be a dream come true for anyone who enjoys the scruffy Terrier personality. Farfel's Rescue was contacted to help find this wonderful guy the greatest home possible..he deserves the love and respect of a forever family. Thomas is a "doll baby" (words of his foster mom) that is about 18 months old and 10 lbs. We envision this super-loving pup in an adult household (or kids 10+) to honor his slightly shy and oh so sweet nature. It's not at all that Thomas doesn't like children...it's just that he could be overwhelmed by the noise level and frenetic activity that young kids and their friends bring to a home. Thomas is so good-natured and respectful that he would be a great companion to be out and about with. He also is very accepting...and enjoys...mellow dogs that won't jump on his head - he would love a canine companion who is respectful of this sensitive nature. Thomas has been in a foster home in Texas while waiting for his transport to Denver (his great behavior and sweet nature earned him this ticket). He has been working on his home skills and we're so proud of his progress. Thomas is a non-shedding (or extremely light shedder) who will require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his coat healthy and soft. He is not suggested for those with severe allergy issues.

Thomas is arriving on transport in Denver on 6/27. Applications are currently being accepted for this wonderful and loving companion.
