Cinnamon is a two-year-old, 80-pound, sweet, smart, well-trained, loyal and protective female German Shepherd/Labrador-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Cinnamon is okay with select other dogs, but would probably be best as the one and only dog in the home. She does however live peacefully with a 10-year-old cat.
In the home Cinnamon is protective, outside the home, after her initial bark, she is full of kisses and tail wags for everyone she meets. She knows the commands sit, down, paw and takes treats extremely gently from your fingers. During the day, Cinnamon is a couch potato, happy to lounge the day away. However, she is also strong and athletic and would rise to the occasion if you want a jogging buddy.
Cinnamon was adopted from a shelter a year ago and has been a loving and loyal companion for her family. She loves the mom, dad and small children (2 and 5) that she lives with. She has been through extensive training, however the family can’t break her of her protectiveness and her big bark scares away daily visitors to her home. So the family thinks she’ll be happier with a family with fewer visitors and older children.
Cinnamon is housebroken, crate-trained, good on leash and in the car. She will do best with a German Shepherd-lover who knows the breed and can work with her protectiveness. She is extremely healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative.
