My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Titus is a special needs Black Lab born in approximately 2008. Titus is blind, Titus' vet believes that his loss of sight is due to a genetic issue rather than trauma - he is able to see shadows and outlines and navigates pretty well in his foster home! It will take 3-4 days for him to feel comfortable enough to spend more time outside of his crate than in it. He’s quite anxious at first, but adjusts quickly when he has someone to reassure him. He does well with new people. New environments are tricky for him, but he’s usually ok as long as he has a person to lean against. He also does much better if he has another dog to follow. He absolutely adores other dogs and is a lovable goofball. He tries to play with people and dogs, but he’s always a little off the mark since he can’t see much. It’s quite endearing. He can be bit of a bull in a china shop, but is also extremely affectionate. He’s just fun and sweet and everyone that meets him seems to love him.
He is not completely housebroken, and needs frequent trips outdoors. I think a dog door would be good for him if he was taught how to use it. He will “go” outside if the door is left open for him to go in/out.
Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.
