My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscuit would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that active and loyal hiking partner. At just about 9-12 months old and about 17 lbs, Biscuit is so portable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a small and curious dog is allowed. It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great temperaments...as well as so very adorable...end up in precarious situations. It just doesn't get much cuter than one ear standing up and the other flopped over in the silliest fashion. Biscuit was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have?? This little dog is just so awesome with his whole life lying in front of him...a life in which he can bring so much joy to a special family. Biscuit, as a very young guy, is a blank slate waiting to learn about the world. With clear guidance and positive reinforcement obedience classes, Biscuit can have great behaved and be a very bonded companion. He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart! Biscuit may be energetic initially as transport and rehoming is challenging and needs for exercise aren't generally met ..but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine We envision Biscuit with a very active and patient retired couple or individual...he would be overjoyed with the time he could spend in their company. It's not that Biscuit is a needy or whiny guy...not at all...he just loves the company of his humans who respect him for all his wonderful traits. Biscuit likes children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to kids 12+ who can be gentle and understanding that Biscuit is a small pup and needs soft and patient handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery...Biscuit would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the air...so happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then...maybe his favorite part...it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people. Biscuit is a non-shedding (or maybe a hair or 2 - we can't quite tell) guy and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his coat cotton-soft and matt-free. Biscuit isn't suggested for those with very severe allergy concerns.
Biscuit is being fostered in the Denver area. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional and loving family companion.
