Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rescue Augie Augustus from Chicago Animal Care and Control
Augie Augustus is a high-energy, dark brindle and white, two-year-old, pit bull terrier-mix who was confiscated from his owner who beat him. While at the shelter, he has been evaluated by a dog trainer who says he’d do well in a home with a female dog. He is good with female dogs in off-leash playgroups at the shelter. He has already learned the commands sit and down and can easily catch a treat mid-air. Augie needs manners training and because he is in the court case dog program, in-home training for the rescue, foster, or adopter will be provided at no charge.
Since there are no available cages on the adoption floor, Augie Augustus is still in pavilion B for rescues only. He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. CACC is at 2741 S. Western Avenue in Chicago and is open noon to 7:00 pm with an hour closure from 3:00 to 4:00. If you have questions about Augustus or want to make sure he is still available for rescue or foster, please contact courtcasedogs@safehumane.org
