My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is an 18-week-old, 25-pound, shy yet energetic and playful Shar Pei-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian.

Penny was born on May 16th into a loving foster home. She is a sweet, active and timid puppy who needs someone with patience and dog-experience to train her and build her confidence. She is full of fun puppy energy. Guesses as to her breed mix include shepherd, husky, hound and many others.

Puppies in general are a lot of work and will need to go outside frequently for housebreaking and leash training. They can also be mouthy and grabby with sharp claws and teeth, so their rescuer would prefer Penny go to a home where there are no children in the home under the age of eight.

To meet and possibly adopt Penny, please contact her foster mom Carol at weluvpawsilrescue@yahoo.com or 773-772-9329. Penny is healthy, de-wormed, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and lepto, micro-chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee of $175 benefits the We Luv Paws Shar Pei Rescue Group so they can continue their life-saving work. Penny is currently being fostered in Chicago, Illinois. WLP will adopt to families within a two hour radius of Chicago.
