My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Rose and her sister Dahlia...she could see that their temperaments were so kind and calm that she couldn't allow them to be euthanized. Rose is the kind of very endearing puppy that will lie in your arms and give a periodic loving kiss... couldn't be sweeter. Rose was immediately brought to be vetted and was brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin her education. It turns out that Rose, at only 8 weeks old and 7 lbs (expected to be approximately 15 lbs when full-grown) is very calm and yet so puppy silly that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for her foster mom. Rose's like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her and she's incredibly entertaining when she gets going. If Rose continues this regimen of socialization that promotes positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...she will become a well-adjusted and very bonded companion.
Rose is a gorgeous long-haired Doxie mix puppy (although we can't see anything but Doxie, we assume there's a bit of something else in there) with a shining coat that speaks of good health. Her calm demeanor is just who she is...she just appears to be more analytical than your average crazy puppy. If Rose is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, she will become a well-adjusted girl who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for Rose. We also feel it's very important that Rose is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. She would be overjoyed with walking along Colorado paths and enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Rose can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere. Rose will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to her very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to Rose's spay, microchip and any additional puppy shots she might require. We can't determine at this point if Rose is a shedder. Lots of sudsy baths and serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy and silky-soft.
Rose will be arriving on transport in Denver on 8/22/2014. If interested in this adorable and sweet puppy, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
