Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ducky is a sweet and gentle, front-declawed, four-year-old, female orange tabby cat looking for a loving guardian.
The majority of orange tabbies are male … and that’s not the only thing that makes Ducky unusual. She acquired her name because her meow sounds more like the quack of a duck!
Although Ducky loves humans, she is afraid of other animals, especially cats. She was found living in a barn with other abandoned cats, and since she was declawed, she was unable to defend herself.
Ducky is looking for a home as the one and only pet. She is a bit shy at first but becomes very attached to her humans and looks to them for protection and love. She is not a lap cat but likes to sit right next to her people and be petted.
Ducky is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, micro-chipped, and virus-tested negative. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. To meet and possibly adopt Ducky, please contact her foster mom Heidi at heidilau@gmail.com or 312-371-7641. She is being fostered in Chicago.
