Here's what the humans have to say about me:
http://www.valleydogs.org/cadette.html -- My name is Cadette. I am a very sweet, but somewhat shy little girl. It is believed I have not always been well treated and have learned to be careful around people until I know they will not hurt me. I was found as a stray along with my friend Caydence. It is not certain if we are mother/daughter or siblings, but we are very attached to each other. It would be amazing if we could be adopted together as I have been with her all my life.
I am a very lovable little girl. Once I am secure in knowing you will not hurt me, I will absolutely soak up all the love and attention you will give me. I also love to give kisses as I am being petted to show how grateful and happy I am. My foster’s mom’s biggest complaint about me is when it is time to go to bed I just want to give her kisses all night long and be petted. I get some in, but when she tells me “enough”, I will be a good girl and go lay down by her feet and sleep through the night.
I am scared of loud noises and angry voices. I am also afraid of being “pulled along”. This leads my foster mom to think I was abused as a younger dog and perhaps pulled out of my hiding place to be struck and yelled at. It will take me a little time to get comfortable with you, but once I do I will make a wonderful, loving and loyal companion.
I get along very well with the other foster dogs at the house. The other puppies and I often get a good game of play going which I totally enjoy. Although I am wary of unknown people and dogs (I will bark when I see new ones outside, but stop when I am told “enough”), once I know I am okay, I warm up quickly.
I am a wonderful size, small enough for any environment but big enough to be an active dog. I would love a yard I could get used to and comfortable running and playing in. I know a doggie door, I am housebroken and I walk well on lead.
Do you have room in your family for me (and maybe my friend Caydence)? If so, please contact my foster mom below.
