My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Lilly came to CRT after being left at the animal shelter as a stray. She is estimated to be about 4 years old and I believe she is mixed with dachshund. She resembles a lot of pictures of Chiweenies that I have seen! Ironically, Lilly looks a lot like the dog called Tuna Melts My Heart who gained internet fame as a rescue whose new mom made him an Instagram account! Lilly does not have the same overbite though!

Lilly weighs 7.4 pounds. When she came to me as a foster, after her initial rescue placement, she was already trained to use pee pads. After she learned where they were she has done great. She gets along very well with my 2 chihuahua mixes. I was told that she completely ignored the cat in her temporary home before she came to me.

There are no medical issues with her. She is energetic yet enjoys her down time as well. At night she sleeps peacefully in her crate but has also slept in bed a couple of times and has done great. We are working on leash training and she has improved greatly! Lilly is timid with new people but it doesn't take long for her to warm up to them. She doesn't bark a lot either!

Lilly is patiently waiting for her forever family to find her. This little blondie has a lot of love to give and just needs the same in return!!!
