Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Taffy Apple is an approximately 25#, 4 month old, labrador/great dane possible German Shepherd mix, one of a clan of 4 siblings found wandering around as strays in southern IN. Taffy Apple has a short coat that is a very rich toffee colour that is reminiscent of caramel apples. Taffy Apple is being fostered with 3 other dogs and is playing chase, tug-of-war and exploring the backyard like a typical puppy.
She rides great in the car & will bark at construction workers when they get too close. Taffy knows her name, SIT, IN THE BED & OUT. Training will be much easier because she is treat motivated. Taffy Apple is now 95% housetrained and is improving every day.
Taffy Apple hides when the vacuum cleaner is turned on and sprints out of the bathroom when the shower is running, She gets up at sunup, not wanting to waste a minute of the day and will dig her human out from under the covers. She loves being petted but is cautious around new people and is getting used to the leash.
Taffy Apple still has her needle-sharp baby teeth, so would not be a good match for households with very young children. While she is great with all the dogs in her foster home, it’s unknown how she will do with cats. This dog is altered and up to date on shots. If you would like to meet Taffy Apple, please call Margrit at 630-820-1584. The adoption fee is $225.
