Valerie is such a dream- come- true girl for any family! If you're searching for a true-blue companion that has no greater joy than to take leisurely walks, visit with dog-loving friends and then lie in your lap (or at least by your side), then Valerie is your perfect pup. Valerie is a 2.5 - 3 year old (just at the perfect place in her life..young and healthy with her whole life lying in front of her yet done with challenging puppy behavior) and weighs about 10 lbs. Valerie is the cutest Pug mix you've ever seen! She has that irresistible Pug face and body with a comical curly tail...and the striking markings of a Beagle. Her personality is a perfect mixture of the famous Pug temperament..engaging, comical and snuggly..and the smart and sensitive nature of the Beagle. This kind girl had no idea why she was suddenly on death row....she tried SO hard to be the best-behaved pup around! How could she possibly understand that she was going to be euthanized simply because the shelter was out of space? This amazing pup...with the best soul ever... deserves only the greatest that life has to offer! Valerie's behavior is so loving and devoted that she's appropriate for any dog-friendly situation. She has been welcomed into shops, friend's homes and cars...she's so warm and wonderful that she brings a sense of calm to all those who have the pleasure of spending time with her. With all of Valerie's snuggly ways...she's also open to a leisurely walk. This is very important in keeping her thin which is a lifelong challenge for Pugs.
Just as long as she's with her favorite people, Valerie is good to go...anywhere. She loves riding shotgun on errands or adventures...as long as she can be a copilot and see out the window, she's pretty good about not being a backseat driver. We envision Valerie in an adult only (or older kids 12+) home where she is truly a part of a family that enjoys their time at home... or likes to bring a wonderful, fuzzy girl with them. When Valerie can't come along, you can bet she'll be at the window loyally waiting for her family to return. She also seems to enjoy her time with gentle dogs, but we feel she could also be very happy in a single-dog household as long as she's not alone for many long hours.
There wasn't a spay appointment available prior to transport in Valerie's tiny, remote Kansas town. Farfel's is happy to cover Valerie's spay and microchip immediately at our vet in Lakewood.
