Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Winky has been with our rescue and coming to our adoption events for 3 years. During that time we can only think of one person who inquired about him…one! You see, at the events he is the wallflower who won’t leave his bed. But I bet there are several people out there who can understand feeling shy at parties. At his foster home, Winky is his true self. He greets his foster with a wiggle, wag and kiss. He’s loving but not needy. He’s happy, active, and also open to being a couch potato. He isn’t yappy and only barks when needed. No matter what dogs/cats come through the rescue, he gets along with everyone and never stirs it up. He’s peepee pad trained but could easily be trained to go outside. He’s approx 4 years old, a chi-weenie (chi / dachshund mix) and has the cutest sausage body. Despite his roundness, he can move fast when needed. In fact he is quite the little mouser. Please don’t mistake his shyness for aloofness, this guy is great. So next time you come to our adoption event or any others, don’t overlook the wallflowers…they often make the best pack and family members. ☺
Winky was pulled from Camarillo Shelter along with 4 other dogs. He is the last man standing, the other 4 have found their forever homes.
