Caramel's Story...
This lovely little lady is Caramel, a young and friendly feline that is only a little over a year old, and would love a great home of her own. Caramel came to us as a stray but like her name, she is super sweet, so must have belonged to someone at some point in her young life. Caramel made herself at home as soon as she came in and began purring it up with everyone she met. Once we discovered that she gets along just fine with other cats, she moved into our free roaming area and now spends her days lounging about on a comfy bed and socializing with the girls in her area. She is very outgoing and she's quite active too. Caramel likes to roam and check out what's going on around her, and is happy to greet guests as they come in. She gets along beautifully with everyone she meets and would make a perfect addition to any loving family. Caramel is all set to start life over in a great home, she just needs a loving family to start over with. File#24050 10/19/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caramel, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
