Bobby's Story...
Oh goodness, wait until you meet our bubbly boy Bobby, you will love this silly character! Bobby is about 2 years old and this perfect pit mix came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great home of his own. Bobby had a home, but was turned in because his owners were moving. Bobby spent about 8 months in our Newark facility hoping to get noticed. He was transferred to us at Popcorn Park in the hopes of getting discovered, and we are thrilled to have this happy boy with us while he awaits his forever home. Bobby is an absolute sweetheart! This young man was born with a deformed front leg, but it doesn't slow him down at all. He has had a full medical evaluation and his front leg is perfectly fine, just different from the others. Bobby gets around great and can run and play with the best of them. He was overjoyed to go in our exercise yard and after running a few laps, he settled down in one of our offices to play with a toy and give out lots of kisses. Bobby is very lovable and affectionate, and makes friends easily. He is very strong, but well behaved. He takes treats gently and walks well on a leash with a harness. Bobby gets along with larger dogs but will need a home with no small dogs or cats. This beautiful boy is ready to start over again....he just needs a great family to start with! File#24271 1/2/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bobby, a Forked River Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
