This is Shayla. She is about 12 weeks old and is a mixed breed puppy who will be a large dog. We think she is a retriever mix. About a month ago she was saved from a high kill shelter in Gallup, NM, near the reservation. She came to Colorado and was in rough shape but the rescue has done a lot to get her healthy and ready for adoption. She is doing great now!

Shayla is a smart puppy who is obsessed with toys (especially tennis balls) and sticks. She loves romping in the snow and playing with other puppies. She is working on kennel training, loves people and dogs and is highly food motivated, which will help with training.

Adoption application, adoption contract, home check, and adoption fee applies. Shayla comes current on her veterinary care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shayla, a Bryan Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Bryan, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Bryan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bryan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bryan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bryan paves the way for another one to be saved.
