My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Its stories like Delilahs that truly break our hearts. At only a year old Delilah was confiscated in a cruelty case in Houston. How someone could ever neglect & mistreat this sweetheart is beyond us. Delilah was kept at the shelter for a month until the case was closed. At that time the shelter was full & Delilah was scared and unsure what her future held. Farfel's saw her tail between her legs and her sweet eyes and knew we had to step in. The next day we had a behaviorist go to the shelter to meet her to see how her abusive life has affected her disposition. We were thrilled to hear that though she is very gentle & sweet with people and other dogs! Delilah is very submissive and usually rolls over when meeting you. Then leans into your lap and gives a kiss!

We have received glowing reports about Delilah ever since! Her Colorado foster says "Everyday she is gaining more confidence and is coming out of her shell. She has been so affectionate and fun. Delilah is totally house trained. The only thing I have noticed is that she jumps up when excited so that will need some work. Whoever adopts this girl is getting a gem!"

Delilah is a ~37 lb Vizsla (maybe something else in there?) who is about 1 year old. She definitely needs to gain some weight but we are working on it! She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed & microchipped. She is high energy and will make a great hiking companion. We are looking for an active individual or family who will keep this girl entertained. She loves to play fetch, tug of war & go to the dog park!
