Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Belle is an incredibly cute ball of cottony-softness that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wiggle and a kiss. Once she gets a sudsy bath and grooming...she'll absolutely be one of the cutest girls around. At about 3 - 3.5 years old and 11 lbs, Belle is every bit the playful pup...fun and active and loves to horseplay outside with like-sized dogs. At at the same time. she is a well-behaved dog who is not yappy or unnecessarily vocal - she expresses herself with her wagging tail and excited kisses.
At this point in Belle's development, she loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Belle to a family who expresses their devotion for her in many different ways. We'd also like Belle to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best adult dog she's capable of being. Right now, Belle is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved girl around.
We'd like Belle to find her forever place in either a family with gentle older children (10+ would be great) or with active retirees who will include her in their daily activities. Belle is so portable that she can easily be a constant companion - she would love nothing more than leisurely walks (and is quite good on a leash), trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace would be perfect for this sweet and lovable pup. Belle is open and curious and therefore can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...she can succeed. Belle's new family needs to have the desire to love and take responsibility for a true-blue, long-term companion. This commitment will result in a very bonded and completely loyal best friend for life. Belle will choose to be close when you want to play, cuddle or just need a best friend to be there in challenging times.
Belle is a non-shedding pup and will therefore require great nutrition and periodic grooming to keep her stunning coat cottony-soft and matt-free.
