My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Good
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes - but she has wonderful house manners and does not need to be crated
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: Bella was diagnosed with Lupus which is kept under control with relatively inexpensive medication in pill form and symptoms are kept under control.

Arrival story: Bella was surrendered by her owners. She appears to be very loved but just needed a little extra TLC

Approximate age / Weight: Approx 7 years old / 70 lbs.

Personality: Bella is a Golden Retriever in a German Shepherds body, she loves everyone. She is happy to meet new people and dogs. She is easy to walk, loves to play and is also content just laying around the house. Bella is very gentle and wonderful with people of all ages. She is not a barker but she will sing for you when you come home. She is a true pleasure to have around and if you are looking for a loving companion, she is your girl.

Forever home: Bella would do well in many homes. She likes the companionship of dogs, but would be fine being the queen bee too.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of
$225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies -
$125 senior dogs (9 years +)
$275 for small breed dogs
$250 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
