Polo's Story...
Polo is an adorable little tri-color Beagle, about 3 yrs old and weighing about 30 lbs. Polo has been in a home before, he walks well on a leash, is crate-trained and housebroken. Polo loves to play with other dogs and would be most comfortable in a home with other dogs. Polo has had some obedience training and his trainer will be available to his new family to reinforce some of Polo's obedience work. Polo is a cute and playful little Beagle, but he can also display some of the more stubborn qualities of the breed. His ideal home will be with a Beagle lover and with one or more confident, well-trained Beagles in the home. He would be a happy and playful addition too the pack !

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polo, a Lexington Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
