Aurora's Story...
Aurora and her brother Comet are ready for homes of their own. These adorable puppies were born in one of our foster homes in December. Their mom was a small poodle mix, and it looks like dad might have been a dachshund. Aurora and Comet are total sweethearts. They are playful and friendly. They were raised with other dogs and cats, and are great with both. They are still babies so their new families will have to be committed to working on housebreaking, leash training, and general obedience. Based on their current size, and the size of their mom, we think they will be 8-10 pounds full grown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aurora, a Phoenix Miniature Poodle/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle/Dachshund for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Miniature Poodle/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle/Dachshund breeders who help with Miniature Poodle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
