Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maisy is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. Once she gets a sudsy bath and grooming...she'll absolutely be one of the cutest girls around. At just about 12 months old and about 12 lbs.. once comfortable in her surroundings, Maisy is every bit the fun and active puppy....but at the same time she is a well-behaved girl who wants to give the best of herself. She expresses herself with her adorable wagging tail, pure love for her people/canine friends and general enthusiasm for life.
At this early point in Maisy's life, she is searching for the committed family she has never before found. However, Maisy has an engaging and positive attitude as if she knows a great new forever home is waiting around the corner. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Maisy to a family who expresses their devotion for her in many positive and loving ways.
We'd like Maisy to attend positive reinforcement group obedience group classes to be the very best adult dog she's capable of being. Right now, Maisy is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved pup around. We'd like her to find her place with either dog-crazy and committed retirees who would be overjoyed to have a relationship with a fuzzy and sweet best friend. A loving and gentle family with kind children would also be just right for Maisy. She is so portable that she can easily be a constant companion - Maisy would love nothing more than leisurely walks, trips to the store (she's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Maisy is young enough that she can be introduced to new situations...and if there is patience and gentle guidance...she can succeed. At the end of the day...for Maisy, there is nothing better than a welcoming lap. She'll snuggle up and show all the love that's inside of her. She's also a great foot-warmer for times when her favorite people are on the computer or just otherwise occupied.
We've requested that Maisy be spayed prior to her arrival in Boulder. We're not entirely sure that that will occur. If not, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for Hannah's spaying and microchip immediately upon her arrival in Colorado.
Maisy is a non-shedding pup and will therefore require periodic grooming along with great nutrition to keep her coat cottony-soft and matt-free.
Maisy will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 5/6/15. If interested in this sweet girl who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
