Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Karma is a gorgeous, super snuggly sweet, quiet, playful and fun, three-year-old, 50-pound, female silver sable Labrador/Shar Pei-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Karma was grossly overweight when she was dumped at Chicago Animal Care and Control by her “family.” She has lost 10 pounds in the past five months and while she loves her treats, she also love most other dogs and loves to play outdoors!
She would be happiest with someone who enjoys being outside, taking walks and has a yard to play in. She’s just not an apartment dog … she loves the outdoors too much. But, inside the home, she loves to snuggle up to you to be pet and have her butt scratched. She has beautiful plush dark chocolate fur that is fun to run your hands through. She adores attention and happily rolls on her back for belly rubs.
Karma is housebroken and crate-trained. She knows the command sit and takes treats gently. She loves people but has too high a prey drive to live with cats or other small animals. She would be fine with a companionable dog or as the only dog in the home.
Her adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of Tails of Hope. She is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. She is currently living in Highland Park, Illinois.
