Meet Twinkie! She is a 3 yr old chihuahua who weighs about 6 lbs. Twinkie came to us through Animal Rescue Corps from a puppy mill bust in Kankakee County, Illinois. Typical of puppy mill dogs, Twinkie is nervous and undersocialized. She needs a patient family, preferably with experience with puppy mill dogs, who will give her a safe and loving environment in which to learn how to be a dog. She needs a family who will accept her as she is and let her develop in her own time. We would like to place her with another dog in a home with a secured fenced in yard. She is not completely housetrained or leash trained, but is doing well at using a pee pad. Twinkie's adoption fee of $200 goes to help cover the cost of her medical care.
