Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I hate to toot my own horn, but my name is Chevy and I am an awesome dog. I could fit into almost any household. I am a happy boy who can get along with almost anyone. I like other dogs and will invite them to play with me over and over again. I am very polite in that way. If they want to play, great, if not I’ll go have fun without them. I like people, too. I don’t care about ages or sizes as long as they are nice to me.
I am told that I am a well-trained guy. I am housetrained. I know all the basic commands, sit, stay, down, shake. I walk well on a leash. I’m not a chewer so your stuff is safe. But it would be nice to have my own stuff indoors to play with and hold in my mouth. I will give you my belly to rub and appreciate the love and attention you give me. It doesn’t matter to me, but the people here think I am a border collie and something else larger mix. Maybe lab or retriever is possible. I am somewhere between 5 and 7 years old in human years. I still have a lot of play in me but I’m not too rambunctious, so I think you will find I am at the perfect age for a second start on life in a new home. I’m also a good size at 67 pounds. That is mostly in height and length because I have a pretty slender build. I hate to brag again, but I have a beautiful coat of medium length hair. It is so soft you will want to pet and brush it so you can brag about how handsome I am to your friends, too.
If you think I could be the perfect one for you, please fill out the adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. Then we can set up a date to meet and you can see how much fun I am. If you have questions about me, please contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.
Chevy is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and heartworm tested. He is also microchipped. Adopters within an hour travel time of Cedar Rapids only, please.
