My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Schnauzer/Poodle is a favorite of the mixed breed dogs. We all seem to love the combination of the outgoing nature and fun personality of the Schnauzer combined with the smart and intuitive nature of the Poodle. Streudel appears to be a perfect combo of these 2 popular breeds. His gorgeous charcoal black mixed with silver coat lights up his adorable face. The fuzzy spots of pure white gives Streudel both an adorable as well as regal look. Streudel is obviously very special...he was found wandering sadly through a Houston neighborhood and a wonderful TX foster couldn't let him go..she brought him into her home to ready him for a forever family. At just about 12 - 18 months old and 16 lbs, Streudel shines with an engaging and sweet disposition. He can be an active guy whose tail never, ever stops wagging. He loves to be included in all fun and would love nothing more than a hike or a neighborhood stroll with his family. He really enjoys gentle, respectful older kids and would be an active participant in outdoor games in the yard or a walk to the park. He also enjoys the company of other dogs and would always enjoy a game or shared fun. Somewhere along the line, we think that Streudel was given love and respect..probably because he's so capable of returning warmth and kindness. Streudel is great to take along anywhere there are groups of dog-loving people. He's a bit shy but always warms up with sweetness and warm hugs.
We feel that Streudel would do well in any home that offered him love, time (long hours left alone at home wouldn't be in the best interest of this social and sensitive pup), appropriate exercise/ mental stimulation and positive reinforcement training to make him the best dog he can possibly be.
Streudel is a non-shedding pup and therefore requires great nutrition and periodic grooming to keep his very shiny and cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free.
Streudel will be arriving in Colorado without being neutered. Farfel's will be happy to cover all cost for Streudel's immediate neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Streudel will arrive on transport in Boulder on 5/20/15. If interested in this awesome guy who wants to be the most loyal friend ever, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
