My story

Kids: 8 +
Crate Trained : Yes
House Trained : Yes
Location: Connecticut

Dalton is a energetic sweet natured 1 year old male Catahoula puppy. I know my basic commands like sit, stay, and come, I really like getting treats to motivate me. I graduated from puppy school. I'm crate trained and also will let you know when I need to go outside with a soft growl or paw to your leg.

A fenced in yard would be best for me. I get along with all other dogs, but can guard my my toys and dog bed in the house. I'm also good with all people and kids of all sizes. I'm not much for cuddling or being petted, but if you have an active lifestyle I'm your man. I love to go on hikes and play with frisbees and tennis balls. I sleep throughout the night accident free in my dog bed. However, I am still very much a puppy and when left alone it is best to crate me, because i like to chew!

If you are interested in adopting Dalton please email sln2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Dalton's adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heart worm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
