Toby's Story...
Toby is SO friendly, and people oriented!
Toby was rescued after being thrown from a moving car when he was quite small. He is now just over a year old and we are not sure why he hasn't already found his forever home, except he hates adoption events. He LOVES people.

Toby is very intelligent, loves to play with ice cubes and most everything else. He definitely wants to interact with you. He has the Loudest Purr ever, and loves to sit in laps! Toby will head butt you when he wants more attention, he isn't shy about reminding you that you have TWO hands with which to pet him.

Toby gets along with most kitties as long as he cat be top cat, he would also do well as an only cat since he has so much personality and greets everyone (he doesn't know he's a cat). Toby will make a wonderful, loving loyal pet. He is the first to run to us when we enter the room and the first to greet us.

Neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped for ID, negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and flea free.

Please consider him for your family. .For more information and to complete an application, please email or go to for our online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Mission Viejo American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
