My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It seems that everyone loves Terriers (they always rank very high in the most popular breeds list). We do...especially if they're as sweet and loving as Daisy . She was acknowledged at a high-kill Texas shelter for having a great personality and being so wonderful to love on and cuddle. This recognition is a tough feat considering this facility holds up to 450 dogs with a very high daily turn-in rate. Daisy, at 12 - 18 months old and just about 12 lbs is an exceptionally beautiful girl. You can tell when you look into her very expressive eyes that her short life has held sadness and challenges..but she would never be one to carry that around. While initially shy...give her a moment! Daisy's great energy makes you melt. As she trusts more and more... and then before you know it, this adorable little pup is in your lap letting you know you are her number one love! We can't think of a better or more devoted companion for retirees or a family with older, very gentle children who are searching for the sweetest playmate ever. Daisy would be a kind and respectful family member...she loves her people so much that she desires to behave to the best of her ability. She simply needs to understand what is being asked of her..once she's clear, she truly wants to comply. We think Daisy would be very successful in positive group obedience classes. She would naturally bond with her family while learning skills that will make her a well-trained member of the community. She desires be a long-term best friend who will always be waiting at the door with a happy tail and a kiss of greeting.
Daisy will fit in with a family or individual that enjoys outdoor adventures..she loves the sunshine and would be overjoyed with a long walk, a fenced yard and a sunny porch. She is more than happy to engage in anything her guardian has in mind ...and smiles with joy at being included. We feel that Daisy would thrive in a family that includes their dog in their lives. We feel that leaving her alone at home for many, many hours wouldn't work for this sensitive girl. She's so pleasant...and could accompany her family just about anywhere a sweet pup is welcome. We would love a family that would give Daisy the benefit of this type of socialization. She would truly be a gift to anyone searching for a loving and extremely devoted best friend.

Daisy will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 6/19. If interested in this adorable and sweet...and often very entertaining companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
