My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There are many, many Terrier lovers in the dog world...they're considered to be one of the most desirable of breeds. This is due to their consistently great temperaments and overall intelligence. There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their beautiful coats and their soft, expressive eyes.
Brody is an extremely cute Jack mix. It's difficult to tell in this photo (due to his need for a sudsy bath and haircut to give his coat an opportunity to grow in healthy and Terrier-scruffy). Brody is 9 - 12 months old and just about 14 lbs... and so kind and waggy with all the dogs and humans that he got temperament tested with. He seems to have overcome any ill feelings and appears to be at peace regarding the challenges of his earlier life.

The Terrier is a solid combination both physically and in stability of temperament. It is for this reason that they seem to acclimate and be outstanding family members no matter their past lives. It's safe to say that Brody has learned to live in harmony with every kind of being...he seems to have derived a true peace from overcoming the trials that he's experienced. We feel strongly that Brody's forever family should have the motivation to continue his socialization and offer him the gift of positive reinforcement group obedience training classes. Through these clear boundaries and leadership by his humans, Brody will emerge as a well-adjusted and very bonded companion. He's so gorgeous both inside and out and deserves a family that appreciates the gift of his temperament and is willing to show him boundaries through love and time spent.

We are searching for an active family...either retirees or families with older, gentle and dog-loving kids. Another like-sized, fun doggie playmate and a fenced yard would be great for Brody. He (like all dogs) is happier and therefore more well-behaved if he's fulfilled with exercise and fun followed by snuggling with his favorite people. It would be a family who spend lots of time at home (or chooses to take a sweet dog with them to dog-friendly situations) who would provide a great forever home for Brody. He would enjoy the time spent together and would blossom with a family that considers their dog a valued member of their family.

Brody will develop a stunning coat over a period of time of great nutrition...through sudsy baths and consistent brushing, he will proudly strut his stuff and show off his soft and healthy Terrier coat.

Brody will arrive on transport in Boulder on Friday 6/19/15. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted companion and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
