Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Marcel is the kind of pup who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts his tiny head on your shoulder. He's so new and fresh with every possibility in life open to him . That's the case unless a puppy is in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Kansas rescuer in saving Marcel. This tiny baby was abandoned in rural Kansas without a hope in sight. After all, at only 8 - 10 weeks old and 3 or so lbs (expected to be about 8 lbs when full-grown), this puppy didn't have the skills to help himself. Our rescuer was very clear that Marcel's temperament was so sweet and cuddly, she just couldn't allow him to be euthanized.
After passing Farfel's temperament testing, Marcel was immediately brought to be vetted and was then welcomed by a great Kansas foster to receive pure love and begin his education. It turns out that Marcel is very calm and so very engaging that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for his foster mom. Marcel is cute as a button and so silly. He is very much like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around him. If Marcel continues this regimen of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Marcel will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion.
Marcel is a gorgeous Maltese mix puppy with the cutest face ever! Although we can't see much of anything but Maltese in Marcel, we believe there's a bit of something else like Poodle in his DNA. Marcel has a shining, pure white coat that speaks of good health. His frequently calm yet often entertaining demeanor is just who he is...he just appears to be more in touch than your average puppy. If he is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Marcel will become a well-adjusted dog who respects his people as his leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly Maltipoo.
We also feel it's very important that Marcel is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. He would be overjoyed with walks along Colorado paths and enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Marcel can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere.
Marcel will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to his very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used. This fulfills our commitment to zero population growth until the shelters are empty.
Marcel is a non-shedding puppy with the most beautiful hair ever. He will need lots of sudsy baths and grooming combined with great nutrition...this will keep this puppy's coat healthy, matt-free and silky-soft.
