These gentle and sweet Teddy Bear Hamsters are looking for loving guardians.

Teddy Bear Hamsters are actually Syrian hamsters with long hair. They typically have life spans of two to three years. They enjoy wheels, toys and while they are primarily active during the night, they do tend to wake up mid-day for a snack or spin on their wheel. Hamsters need fresh food and water daily, and need their cages cleaned weekly.

These hamsters are incredibly fun to hold and watch play. The main diet of hamsters is pellets, supplemented with small amounts of fresh foods.

If you need a complete set-up including habitat, food, water bottle and exercise wheel, that is available for $25 to $45 depending on which set-up you choose. They do best living individually and will fight as adults if housed as a pair.

They are currently living with me in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
