My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whenever a sweet and kind Poodle mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that pups of this breed mix are so loving, smart and intuitive. They also fit so well into a family...and make great companions for all age groups. Sometimes rescue dogs are initially a bit shy....but put them in a home with a loving family and frequent socialization...and they will shine.

Charlotte is 12 - 18 months old (such a great age - young enough to be so much fun... active and adventurous yet old enough to be beginning to understand her adult skills) and weighs 11.2 lbs. Never let it be said that 11 lbs isn't the ideal size for a lap dog....Charlotte will gently warm your lap and express her love in the sweetest of ways.

Charlotte has inherited the superior intelligence of the Poodle breed along with the curiosity and silly antics of the Cocker Spaniel. She is therefore so excited for her family to teach her the wonders of her world. If Charlotte is trained with positive reinforcement, given tons of love, socialization with both humans of all ages and other dogs...she will grow into a self-confident dog who will be a wonderful companion. She has all the elements working in her favor since she's starting out with a great temperament, a love of life and a true desire to please.

We'd like to place Charlotte in a home with either active retirees or a younger family who loves spending lots of time with a fuzzy and devoted family member. Charlotte would also enjoy the company of a fun and respectful, like-sized canine...she would love the playtime. She will shine for a family who is motivated to take her to group obedience classes and to bring out all the wonderful qualities and loyalty that live inside this incredibly cute Cockapoo.

Charlotte would love hiking the trails of Colorado (she's the perfect size to enjoy walking with her person enjoying the beauty of the mountains), window-shopping on Pearl Street to fine-tune her urban skills and being a very present companion all through the day. With feelings of security within the family, Charlotte will learn the skills of being alone and knowing her family will always return.

Charlotte has a beautiful, cottony-soft and non-shedding coat. With periodic baths, grooming and great nutrition, she will develop the cottony-soft, shining hair of a healthy, well-cared for coat.

Charlotte will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 7/17/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet, cuddly and very fun-loving pup, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.
