Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When a Farfel's volunteer first met Link, she was struck first by his cuteness...how could you not be? His curious and affectionate personality (so typical of a happy and well-socialized dog) became the entertainment of the day..he's so funny and cute that you just have to periodically hug him. We were all very hopeful that Link wouldn't remember the terrible challenges of his youngest days...Code Red at a dreary shelter.
As hope seemed to fade away for Link, Farfel's got a call that a very beautiful and sweet Maltipoo was very urgent. Through the love and immediate action of rescuers in Texas, Link was saved at the very last second. From that second forth, Link has been nothing but a delight! He's learning so quickly and understanding that the world can be a very positive place. Link is at such a great time in his life...he's 12 - 18 months old and 16 lbs - the perfect size and age to enjoy the beauty of Colorado through hikes, neighborhood walks and winter sports with his favorite people.
We're searching for the most loving home for this exceptional guy so he learns positive skills resulting in a strong bond with his family. We would also like a home where the family is present...it can be a retired couple or individual who has the energy and patience for a young guy. Or a family with older dog-crazy children that choose to include their pet in their daily lives.
Since Link will require training to mold him into a great and bonded adult companion, we feel strongly about Obedience I group classes to promote good behavior and peaceful relationships with humans and other dogs. It's also important that Link is given mental stimulation and lots of exercise. It's never too early to start teaching leash manners ....this will develop Link into a fit and stable companion.
Link has the cottony hair of the Maltipoo that is so desirable. It's so soft while having the hypoallergenic qualities of the Poodle. Link will require great nutrition and periodic grooming to bring back the stunning coat of his breed mix.
Link will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 7/17/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
