My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna, named after the sweet baby bat in the award winning story, Stella Luna. Just two years old, little Luna is looking for a new place to call home. Her current guardian is graduating from college and moving into a home that does not allow pets. She is heartbroken to part with lovely Luna, but is dedicated to finding her a forever home that will provide her the safest, most loving future.

Luna is a curious but shy kitty with excellent house manners. Luna likes to spend most of her time snoozing on a fluffy blanket or stretched out on the couch but if she has protected access to an outdoor space, she also enjoys going out in the yard to climb trees, sun herself, or watch for squirrels. If people are home, she loves to be right in the mix, basking in attention, and looking for a pet or to play fetch. Recently she’s learned how to sit on command, and is very good at it!

Luna is super playful, and loves all types of toys and will play fetch if encouraged. She likes to chase her own tail around her scratching post and will cuddle up next to anyone, purring easily and doling out head-butts to get attention.

Her favorite toys include: Toy mice, crinkle balls, and any type of string toy. She’s known to make anything small and moving into a toy! Silly habits? Who doesn’t have ‘em?! She will sleep upside down in the sun, loves to climb things but then gets stuck, likes to watch people shower, and is very particular about which side of the bowl she will eat from. Her favorite treat is dried salmon treats and she will “sit” for those. Lol.

Luna will be happy with her very basic needs met…access to food and litter box, a soft quiet place to hide and sleep, a fluffy bed to snooze in, people around with laps to cuddle up in, a lot of chin scratches, and someone to throw toys for her to chase.
