My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix is a perfect combo for those with who are searching for an extremely smart, active and loyal companion. They're famous for their intelligence, great temperaments and loving and snuggly ways. They're also known to be trustworthy and very gentle with family members and other family pets.. They (like all dogs) require exercise and love being with their people...if a walk or hike is the order of the day - count them in! These breed mixes are known to hike joyfully through the Colorado mountains...and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their favorite humans and canines (Brianna loves all!).

Brianna is an adorable and engaging puppy who was chosen for that coveted ticket to a new life in Colorado because of her great temperament. She's just 16 weeks old and 16 lbs (anticipated to be approximately 35 lbs when full-grown) and filled with nothing but love and great intentions. She will be that perfect companion for older kids who love dogs and are yearning for that fuzzy best friend. Brianna would also love adult company...she'll be perfect for a morning run or frisbee at the park (when she's a bit older).

Brianna's Texas foster mom had the following to report on this sweet puppy:
Brianna has to be the the most endearing pup ever! While initially a bit shy...she now greets me in the morning with the cutest smile. She very politely asks for breakfast. I also have to brag about how great she has become in her crate as long as she's been allowed to play puppy-hard and interact with her human and doggie friends during the day. She didn't make a peep last night! (FYI - she's better with an open wire kennel...a blanket over the top for security worked well).

Brianna is a truly sweet Aussie/Border Collie mix, also known as an AusBor (in other words, she's a stunning designer dog, teehee)! weighs just 16 lbs. and has a gentle nature and sweet personality. She gets along famously with my 2 dogs and 2 children 12 and 14. In other words she's close to perfect ...give her some positive training and I bet she will be perfect...so incredibly smart!

Full disclosure - Brianna is a great companion who is filled with love just waiting to blossom. She perks up with love every time she sees me...and actually engages with joy with virtually every human and dog she meets...tries so hard to behave herself like a champion.

What can I say...Brianna is a dream-puppy..no kidding! She is a wonderful companion, loves to be in your lap but not needy or whiny (unless very tired). She will steal your heart (and the hearts of your family) instantly. I only ask that she be loved completely. No dog deserves it more!

As Brianna has become comfortable in a foster home, she has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would like to see Brianna in a home that includes her in family time and activities... and takes that extra step to participate in puppy kindergarten followed by positive reinforcement obedience classes. These classes take a very smart dog like Brianna and molds them into a great family member that can behave appropriately in any situation. Brianna would also be a wonderful companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. Brianna would enjoy another playful dog to run and tumble with...she's so entertaining as she puts her positive energy into some serious play.

Brianna will arrive on transport in Boulder on 9/4/15. If interested in this sweet, playful and very loyal companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
