Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Chewy, and I am patiently waiting with my foster parents until I can be united with my forever family. At approx. 3-5 years old, I am one of the cutest, sweetest little dogs you will ever meet. My sleek, short hair is the color of snow with little tan markings, and I hardly shed at all. My soft brown eyes and adorable underbite will melt your heart. I weigh approximately 8.5 pounds, and I am the perfect size to fit snugly in your lap for as long as you will let me lay there. I love regular massages, and if you stop petting me too soon, I will be sure to let you know by pushing my head under your hand repeatedly until you begin rubbing behind my ears again.
At night, I prefer to cuddle by your side, and I promise to wait until the morning to be let outside. When you need to leave me home, I will be good and quiet as long as I have space to roam and prefer to look out of the windows. However, I would rather have furry companions with me while you are gone. When you do come home, I will hardly be able to contain my excitement! I usually prance around because I am so happy!! I love going outside, and I look forward to daily walks where I can sniff everything and bask in the sunlight.
I have very good manners, and I never have accidents inside or bark excessively (at least I try not to!). I am too proud to beg for food, but if you offer me a treat in return for sitting nicely, I will be happy to oblige. I LOVE stuffed animals, and if you throw one, I simply cannot resist chasing it. Also, I like to play with my furry brothers and sisters and romp with them around the house, but I am never too rough or aggressive.
A good Samaritan rescued me by the side of the highway after she watched me running around for about a week! My sincere wish is to find a family who will love me as much as I will love them. I adjust to new people quickly, and I already know that I will be your best friend. In fact, I am frequently complimented by others on how sweet and affectionate I am.
I will be so grateful when I can finally settle in one place for the rest of my life with someone who will truly love me as their own. My current temporary home is in Louisville, KY, but my foster mom has promised me that she will transport me to my new forever home.
