Suzy's Story...

Suzy has become quite the love of attention. She is a happy girl with her tail always wagging. She loves her friend Lilly, she would love to get adopted with her if possible. They just have such a good time together and when separated cry for each other. Suzy participated in an adoption event and loved everyone she met.

11/28/2015 Update

Suzy is coming out of her shell nicely, she really enjoys affection and loves to be pet. She has even learned to wag her tail. Her spa day is on Monday when after pics will be posted of this adorable little girl.

These are definitely Suzy's "BEFORE" pictures! It was a hard and scary day of transport from Missouri to Wisconsin!
Suzy is a 6year old white Shih Tzu who got lucky and was released last week from a Missouri breeding facility. Suzy, and all the dogs who arrived with her are settling into their foster homes, just waiting to be discovered by their new forever families!
Since these precious little “rescues” have never lived outside a kennel, they may require extra patience while they learn to trust humans, potty outside, and enjoy the lives they deserve. The transformation from timid insecure dog to lovable canine companion is truly amazing! Please contact this dog’s listed foster for the most accurate details of her personality.
Suzy is fostering in Johnsburg, IL. Her adoption fee is $300. Please contact Julie at or (224) 688-9782 for more information on Suzy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzy, a Union Grove Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Union Grove, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Union Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
