Garth's Story...
Hi my name is Garth and I am a 1 1/2 yr old Beagle. I am very tall for a beagle, 17 inches, so I maybe mixed with something else? I have not always been treated well by my owner in the past. I was crated most of the time, so I missed out on being a "normal" dog. I have not let this experience hinder how I feel about people. I am happy to greet everyone, and if you have a treat I will sit for you too. I am an active boy and I am hoping for another dog to play with in my new home. I will need a fenced in yard so I can safely run around.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garth, a Springfield Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
