Here's what the humans have to say about me:
River is estimated to be only 3 years old and is VERY sweet and gentle. He is fine with being held and loves quiet attention. The down side? River's eyes have very limited vision. His eyes are very recessed and scarred, likely from birth and/or possible infections that weren't treated properly. Nothing needs to be done for his eyes as everything is stable and as functional as they can be.
River has a congenital eye issue which impacts his vision, but not his general health, loving nature or zest for life. He is blind in his right eye and has very limited vision in his left eye, likely only seeing light and darkness. He has learned to use his other senses to compensate for his loss of sight, and will do well with a gradual introduction to a new environment. The only special care he requires is daily over-the-counter eye drops to lubricate his eyes. He will thank you for your good care with unending love and affection!
River will need a quiet home without a lot of activity or commotion as he truly cannot see well enough to know what is going on. When we pick him up, he will initially be frightened as he doesn't know what is happening. Once we have him cuddled up securely next to us, he relaxes and enjoys being held and carried around. He needs to be treated as if he is completely blind.
River has had a dental to remove some bad teeth. He is ready for a loving home that will be patient and understanding of his limitations.
Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative.
Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair.
