My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ivan!

I’m a happy, healthy, 9 month old, ball of fun, Rottweiler (mix?) puppy. Well, one person told me I was 6 months old and another said I was a year old. Since I don’t remember when I was born I’m going with 9 months. I absolutely love life and view everyone and everything as an opportunity to play. I’m not sure which I like more … playing with my canine foster siblings or with my foster mommy. I love running in the backyard and wrestling with my canine foster brother and sister. They are so much fun. Daisy really likes playing in the snow with me. But I also really like playing tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy. She’s not as fast as my canine buddies but that’s ok. I really like people too.
Another thing I really like is taking a bath. Sometimes when my foster mommy can’t find me I’ll be sitting in the bathtub waiting for her to give me a bath. Often I’ll roll over on my back so my foster mommy can wash and rub my tummy. My foster mommy tells me I’m goofy but a guy likes what he likes, right? Since I’m telling you what I like I have to tell you that I like food. I really like food. Did I tell you I really like my food? My foster mommy says I’m food crazy, like I haven’t eaten in years. I’m not food aggressive but when it’s time to eat I get REALLY excited and I can’t help but jump and run all around. Sometimes I forget my manners and run into my foster mommy and push my canine foster siblings out of the way. I forget how big I’ve become. Speaking about how big I am. I’m 65 pounds and the vet (that thinks I’m 6 months old) said I will almost double in weight by the time I’m full grown. So, I’m going to be a big boy. I walk really well on a leash and because I’m so food crazy I should be easy to train. Honestly, I love to please people and will do anything for food.
My foster mommy wants me to tell you about my faults too. A couple weeks ago I was found as a stray. Since then my foster mommy has been teaching me to go potty outside. I’m doing really well but I sometimes forget. Also, because I’m still a puppy, everything goes in my mouth. I love chewing on my toys but sometimes I forget which things are my toys and which aren’t. I chewed my foster mommy’s computer cord and the corner of her coffee table. Other than that I’ve always chewed my toys. And I have lots of toys!!!!What I want most of all is a forever home with a nice family or person that I can love forever and ever. There’s no cost and no obligation to fill out an application. However, there is a small adoption fee of $165 to help cover the cost of my vaccinations, neutering, micro-chipping, etc. If you are interested please go to www.dogworksohio.com to fill out an application!!
