Oscar's Story...
I truly believe in the saying, "We saved the best for last" and not just because I am the last puppy, but because it is true. Hi my name is Oscar and I am a 4 month old Boxer/Lab mix. I came with my 3 siblings and I was the biggest of the group. I am rather shy and when I was in Virginia they sent me to a separate foster home so I could get more socialized. I am gaining more confidence everyday, but still have a way to go. I am a completely different dog when I have a confident dog to show me that the world isn't so scary, so in my furever home I need a dog to lead the way. Due to my shyness, I would be best in a home with older kids (5 yrs +) that will be more patient with me. I am a very mellow puppy and love to cuddle. If I sound like the pup for you come and met me soon as I won't be here long.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Springfield Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
