Coco's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Coco's Story...
Coco is part of a Bay Area cruelty/neglect case where a total of 19 dogs were confiscated. His prior living conditions were horrible and we suspect he was physically abused. However, he isn't dwelling on it and is ready to begin again.
He can be scared when meeting new people and needs time and space to adjust to new situations. Once he is settled in, he's a happy and sweet little guy who wants nothing more than to keep your lap warm. He gets along with other dogs and will do best in a gentle and calm adult home.
He is a 12 year old Chihuahua mix and about 13 lbs.
Coco is energetic when it comes to walk time and then settles in when he is back in his home. He loves to eat and is thankful to finally have regular meals all to himself.
Coco has bravely worked through several medical issues and is ready now for his forever home. He continues to adapt to the good life and is making wonderful progress every day. We love our little man Coco.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Clayton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Clayton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Clayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
