Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Lisa, and I am patiently waiting with my foster parents until I can be united with my forever family. At four years old, I am covered in blonde and white fur with big, adorable eyes, and I weigh approximately 9 pounds. For the majority of my life, I was kept in a wire cage and used only for breeding until I was carelessly discarded after I became too old for new litters. I really hope that I can finally settle in one place for the rest of my life with someone who will truly love me as their own.
I am extremely shy because I have had very little human contact during my short life. I am very content in my playpen until you try to pick me up, and then I will just freeze in a corner. My foster mom is very patiently working with me to let me know that I really do deserve happiness and love. I will let you pick me up, and I never snap or act aggressively. When I sit in your lap, I am tense for a while until I start getting sleepy. However, I LOVE food and will happily eat little pieces of cheese or hot dogs from your hands once I learn to trust you.
Furthermore, I very rarely bark and prefer to have a little furry buddy to sleep with me. I am learning to spend more and more time in the arms of my foster mom, but I am still very scared. I wish that someone could adopt me who understood how awful my previous life was and be willing to invest time into holding me and telling me how special I am. My foster mom bought me a little papoose backpack that she has been carrying me in so that I get used to being constantly held and petted, which will go with me to my new home. Also, I am very good at going on my pad in my little playpen.
I am currently in perfect health although, and my current temporary home is in Columbus, OH, but my foster mom has promised me that she will transport me to my new forever home.
Now that I have told you a little about myself, please contact my foster family and tell them a little bit about you! I hope that I will be able to meet you soon and become a valued member of your family. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to be part of your life!
