Jolene's Story...
What is the fastest way to beautify your home? Adopt me, Jolene! I am about a year old and beautiful as can be. I love attention, but I am not adjusting to shelter life very well, so I can come off as shy. I was brought in as a stray and I am really looking forward to a furever home soon. I haven't made any feline friends yet, but that is mostly because I stay to myself. I know I can live with another cat and maybe a mellow dog too. As soon as you start to pet me I turn into a marshmallow. If you can give me some time to adjust to yet another new environment we will be buds in no time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jolene, a Springfield Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
