My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who is ready for the best dog around? If it's you then let me introduce myself, I am JellyBean a 7 yr old purebred female dachshund. I am the sweetest, most loyal, house trained, crate trained dog you will come across. I love to follow my human around wagging my tail nonstop. I love tennis balls, food (as you can see I need to shed a few pounds)and I enjoy playing with other dogs. I do not even have to stay in a crate if you go to work. I love kids and anyone I meet. I have perfect manners in the house and can be trusted to be left out. I love to snuggle under blankets or in your lap and will sleep all night right up against you and never move. If you would like to meet me, please fill out my application below.

If you are interested in adopting JellyBean, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . JellyBean 's adoption fee is $400. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. JellyBean will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
